Resumen
A waste water Treatment Plant was designed to Santiago de Calpi with the objetive of avoiding Chibunga River and the environment pollution. The compound for characterization of wastewater sampling was used in this study. This characterization showed that fecal coliform, suspended solids, surfactants, oils and fats, biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and turbidity were the variables that were put to account for the development of system design the plant data compared with the rules of the Unified Text of Secondary Environmental Legislation (TULAS). This treatment plant is projected to 20 years for a population of 1887 inhabitants and a flow rate of 1479.6 m3 / day. The system consists of a channel grid system manual cleaning, followed by a primary sedimentation, sanitation, it should be emphasized that the sludge generated by the settlers need treatment and 4 proposes drying activated sludge tank that go together with a secondary sedimentation, sanitation, it should be emphasized that the sludge generated by the settlers need treatment and 4 proposes drying beds. By performing this process of purification is achieved to obtain results with a biochemical oxygen demand 37 mg / L, Chemical Oxygen Demand 59 mg / L, suspended solids 2 mg / L, Surfactants 0.4 mg / L, Oils and Fats 0, 2 mg / L and fecal coliforms ˂ 2 CFU / 100 ml those results are consistent with the Unified Text of Secondary Environmental Legislation (TULAS), Book VI, Table 12- Download a body of Freshwater. It is concluded that the proposed system meets the goals set in the research project reducing the pollution. System implementation effluent treatment is recommended to improve life quality of the community and the environment.
