Resumen
This research work has as purpose to determine the reliability of the water reinjection system in
block 57 Liberator, Sucumbios Province, Pacayacu [Parish], which is based on a real analysis of
the operational context, taking into account the intrinsic availability, associated with the
reliability and maintainability of the elements that comprise it. The main objective of any
company is predicting failure modes to prevent the consequences that this entails, since it
requires learning of the previous history to make improvements in the future through o root cause
analysis that would help eliminate its recurrence. The methodology used was the field research
and historical records available since 2013, date in which it started to record failures in the
“Maximum for Oil and Gas” maintenance and management software. It was also used
observation techniques, revision of: data quality, operating daily reports, process diagrams,
functional schematics and established methods such as analysis of goodness of-fit for the
distribution Exponential probability and Weibull. The results of reliability for the 7 types of
equipment involved in the water reinjection system were correlated based on failures by type of
equipment throughout the available population to block 57 Liberator, this establishes the block
diagram of reliability, with which it is possible to predict a value of probability of failure of an
estimate for each system. Finally, it is possible to propose actions to prevent the reliability of the
system from being lower than 50% in a period of 3000 hours of continuous operation, and the
intrinsic availability of the systems from being lower than 99.9% thanks to the opportune
maintenance intervention. It is recommended to implement the model proposed in this research
for better results.
