Resumen
The research aimed to demonstrate the impact that has the use of the Laplace Transform
as a methodological tool in improving the academic performance of students in the sixth
semester of the School of Automotive Engineering, in the analysis of electrical circuits.
Scientific, inductive, analytical, synthetic and longitudinal method was used. In the work
groups of students enrolled in academic periods were considered: - August 2014 and
October 2014 - March February 2015, taking the arithmetic mean of the academic
performance of students before and after using the Laplace Transform in the
corresponding periods. To validate the hypothesis, we applied the statistical "z"
normalized to the contrast of equal means of normal populations with a significance level
of 5%, which shows the area of risk for rejection of the null hypothesis and accept the
research hypothesis, associated with zt = 1.64. We apply the equation equal means
contrast with the statistical data obtained from each group, acquiring a value zc = 4.41,
which is greater than zt, which rejects the null hypothesis and accept the research
hypothesis, showing that the use Laplace Transform as a methodological tool works
positively, improving the academic performance of students in the analysis of electrical
circuits by 21.9%, so it is wise to continue with the proposal to raise the percentage.
