dc.description.abstractThe impact of the implementation of the “Learning Objects” with eXelearning was determined, in the performance of differential and integral calculus with first level students of Engineering in Mechatronics career at “Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas”, to improve academic performance of students. The investigative process was implemented by an educational interactive guide to using virtual classrooms, based on a constructivist experimental design including exercises proposed by the teacher with varying degrees of difficulty. Of classroom knowledge feedback to the group of students was conducted. The items to be checked are the matrices performance log, based on quizes, lessons and tests under a quantitative paradigm for tabulation of data and information generation; obtained results allowed to verify that deepen the implementation of the “Learning Objects” with eXelearning, significantly decreases the group with low performance in the examined group, making effective courtly sessions in the educational process. There was marked impact on the academic performance and learning achievement when pragmatically applied the “Learning Objects” also a change in attitude was observed in students to take classes differently from traditional, to apply new teaching strategies using ICT’s. We conclude that learning based on eXelearning due to its active, dynamic and efficient character, fosters improved academic performance of the subjects to be studied at different levels of education. We recommend using the eXelearning methodology for the subject of differential and integral calculus at “Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas” and other universities in the province, the region and the country in general.
