dc.description.abstractIn this research project called: “Method for calculating of the availability of series and parallel systems in function on the particular operational consequences of the individual unavailability of each stage”, it was made a deterministic pattern for each system, from the analysis of the amount of products that the system stops making for the unavailability of each of its stages, and after processing algebraically, it was gotten to deduction of eighteen equations for the system in series and parallel, in function of the available time, the unavailable time and the individual availability of its stages, among which, three are representative of the other. This investigation is warranted, since it was show that although the calculation of the unavailability of individual items is reliable, when it comes to systems, the current equations gives erroneous results. The simulation of four types of systems by Monte Carlo method with five thousand iterations validated the proposed equations and found the miscalculation of the current equations; so is recommended its use for maintenance management of each machine individually and the system where they interact.
