Resumen
The resizing, construction and implementation of a rear disc brake system with hydraulic handbrake for a rally vehicle has the purpose of adapting and assembling the parts that make up the system that allows the vehicle under study to be comfortable and safe, with High braking performance and performance on the road; As well as being a useful and indispensable tool in the competitions. We opted for alternative brake systems in this case hydraulic, for these reasons we chose the ideal brake disc-type brake system, which will be able to withstand temperatures and stresses according to the work required. Then it starts by modeling each of the pieces in the CAD software to proceed to their analysis in a finite element software, where the fixed points and forces are placed, necessary results that will help to verify the deformations that each element will have when being in A state of extreme force. Also, within the results the safety factor must be in a suitable range of 1-5 to determine if the element is too weak or oversized. With the performance tests the efficiency increase was achieved from 70% to 90% with a yield of 20%, also increased its pressure from 600 PSI to 1000 PSI in the rear train; Achieving a better braking in less time and a shorter stopping distance.
