Resumen
The correlation of thyroid alterations with glucose was determined, and the pathologies present were determined with patients from the SOLCA CHIMBORAZO Provincial Oncology Hospital, to complement the follow-up of thyroiditis. 842 patients were analyzed, who were dosed with glucose and Anti Peroxidase antibodies, 13. 7% of patients showed glucose alterations, of which 101 cases presented values higher than the reference values; 726 patients have values within the reference ranges; 790 patients did not show T3 alterations; 52 patients were found with values outside the normal range; in the case of FT4, 709 patients are within the reference values, 133 subjects have values outside the range, of which 89 patients present hypothyroidism, while 5.3% are hyperthyroid. The population with 629 patients do not suffer TSH alterations, in 25.3% alterations are observed: 9.7% are low and 15.6% are high. The statistical analysis shows that Pearson's r values are not significant, there is no correlation for TSH-Glucose, FT4-Glucose, T3-Glucose, ATPO-Glucose, inverse correlation is observed for FT4-TSH. From the statistical analysis it is concluded that there is no correlation of the alterations of thyroid function T3, FT4, TSH with glucose. It is recommended to deepen the study with populations that develop in different geographical and climatic conditions, as well as in those that are subject to risk factors such as smog, pollution and fungicides.
