Resumen
The post-production substrate production technology of edible fungi Pleurotus
ostreatus in guinea pig feeding was evaluated and validated using a completely
randomized design and evaluating different variables during 120 days of
investigation; it was carried out in the minor species production program and in the
Animal Biotechnology and Microbiology laboratory at Animal Science Faculty at
ESPOCH, located in Riobamba canton, Chimborazo Province. It was determined
that ate nutritive blocks with 45% of substrate got the best result with 3,13
offspring at birth, weaned 2,72 offspring/ litter with weights of 323,33 and 504,14
g/litter at birth and weaning respectively. In the growing-fattening stage with
nutritive block supply, the guinea pig showed a weight increase of 0,62 kg, food
consumption of 5,28 kg of ms and a feeding conversion of 8,55. A high profitability
was gotten by using level 45% of fungi substrate in the nutritional block and a
benefit/ cost of 1,28 was reached in the gestation-breastfeeding stage and 1,22 in
growing-fattening. That is why it is recommended to use fodder of alfalfa in pig
guineas during the Gestation Breastfeeding and Growing Fattening with a
nutritious supplementation withnutritional blocks with nutritional blocks with 45%
post production substrate of edible fungi Pleurotus ostreatus.
