Resumen
In the Faculty of Livestock Sciences of the Higher Polytechnic School of Chimborazo, the influence of energy on fattening chickens fed with different levels of NuProTM is evaluated (3.0, 3.5 and 4.0%) in the diets compared to a control group without NuProTM, up to 49 days of age, using a completely randomized design: At the end of the initial phase of (0-21 days), a better weight of (482.17 g) was registered, with 3% nucleotides, a better food consumption of 948.68 g, with 3.5%. NuProTM, and the best feed conversion, is between 3.0 and 3.5% levels, ranging from 2, 17 and 2, 36, with significant differences between treatments (P <.05). At the end of the test, we have a better weight of 2405.06 g, with 4% NuProTM, with a highly significant difference (P <.01) and a dry matter consumption, which is above 1865.15g, with a non-significant difference (P > .05). As the age of the birds advances, the conversion tends to be optimized and the levels of 3.5 and 4% of NuProTM are identified, as those with the best efficiency in the conversion of feed with requirements of 0.8 and 0.78 kg, of dry matter to achieve a weight gain of one kilogram. As the NuProTM level increases, in diets, the cost benefit improves. For every dollar invested, it is possible to recover up to an additional 22 cents, using 3.5 and 4% NuProTM diets.
