Resumen
In the leather tanning laboratory, Animal Science Faculty of the Superior
Polytechnic School of Chimborazo, bross-up leather for men's use was elaborated
using different levels of high density filler, the experimental units 36 goat skins
were modeled under a completely randomized design in bifactorial accordance,
with three treatments, six experiments units and two trails. In the physical
resistance analysis bross-up leather reported the highest tensile strength
(2594,83 Newton/cm), elongation percentage (56,67%), and friction resistence
(4,75 cycles), with 150 g filler application, as in the sensory evaluation, since the
highest results were the 4,83 points fullness, 4,75 points softness and 4,83
points covering power with the 150 g filler application. The trials effect did not
report statistical differences, the bross-up leather physical and sensorial quality is
homogenized in each one of the produced items. The highest benefit cost ratio
was reported to 150 g of high density filler, (B/C 1,19); because for each dollar
invested a profit of 19 cents is expected. It is recommended to produce a
material with physical resistence exceeding requirements of quality footwear
leather of the running agencies, and with good sensory benefits, working with
150 g of high density filler.
