MECHANICS IMPLEMENTING A DEVICE TO PROVIDE HYDROGEN IN A MAZDA ENGINE It is important to reduce environmental pollution which has been caused by engine cars and therefore automotive industry is researching methods to reduce emission of gases from cars. This project has been developed to implement a mechanical device which will provide hydrogen gas in a Mazda BT-50 2.2 L. engine and will reduce pollutant gas emissions. This research was based on the hydrogen generator by means of the analytical method of its components such as electrolyte, electrolyte container, bubble maker, hoses, power suppliers from a battery, and connections from the panel control. Hydrogen generator is started up by the driver when the engine is running; by means of the chemical process known as electrolysis, water is decomposed into hydrogen and oxygen. Oxygen goes up to the air and hydrogen gas flow into the engine by suction. Some comparisons were made between gasoline engine and hydrogen-gasoline engine taking into account exhaust gases, power, torque, and fuel consumption. Result showed that: pollutant gases were reduced; power engine was increased; and fuel consumption was reduced. Conclusions showed that the use of the hydrogen supplier in internal combustion engines will reduce pollutant gas emissions and increase its power. Recommendations include fittings of hydrogen metal containers to store it under pressure; and to implement a hydrogen measurer to inject it by pressure.
