Abstract
The objective of the research is the Design and Construction of an Automatic Turbo Mixer Equipment for the Production of Disinfectants, which complies with the NTE INEN. The methodology for the design of the Turbo Mixer equipment, began with the bibliographic review to determine the equations of the Automatic Mixer that were used for the correct design of the equipment and its operation. The materials used for its construction were AISI 304 stainless steel plates, cut and welded according to the design: volume = 130 L, height = 0.62 m, diameter of 0.58 m; the main feature of the equipment is the agitation and mixing paddle whose function is to make a homogeneous mixture, to avoid spills, two deflectors were incorporated, and a 1 Hp motor was used. We found the ideal formula which is that of Topaz, which complies with the NTE INEN, as for the physical, chemical and microbiological analyses, the following results were obtained: ? = 1.15 g/ml, µ = 1.45 g/cm. s, Turbidity = 10.48 NTU, pH = 7.66, Foaming Degree = 3.66 ml and reaches a stability after 48 minutes, and an effectiveness of: before 4x103 CFU/cm2, after 5x101 CFU/cm2; mesophilic aerobic microorganisms were eliminated in the test. Achieving the operating conditions: rotation speed 7 Hz, optimum mixing volume 90 L. It is recommended to follow the operating procedure of the equipment to avoid damage during handling and errors in data collection.
