Resumen
The participatory reforestation program in the Jurumbaino river basin in the city of Macas, Province of Morona Santiago. It was carried out with the help of teachers, parents and students, based on observation and surveys on the reality of the sector, determining the serious environmental problems due to the loss of primary forest, damage to health, destruction of flora and fauna and the loss of biodiversity in this important sector of the Amazon. The field research was conducted with a systematic process at the site of deforestation after the analysis we developed a matrix of environmental impact assessment through which it was determined that the impact is severe, i.e. had an 80% damage to soil and water resources. With the help of teachers, parents and students of the 27 de Febrero School in the city of Macas, a reforestation program was developed, conducting training workshops for a total of forty-six people living in this important productive and tourist sector, achieving aptitudinal and attitudinal changes that benefit the relationship between man and nature, allowing a sustainable and sustainable development, thus improving the quality of life of the community. After a management to the authorities and with own funds we proceeded to the reforestation with native species of the Amazon. With which we recommend putting into practice the knowledge acquired in the training workshops, in addition to making this program public knowledge with the support of the community, and socialize this knowledge to all the inhabitants who are dedicated to develop productive activities.
