Resumen
The objective of this research work is to design the Process of Elaboration of Interior and Exterior Fillings with the Use of Lime Powder and Resin that was carried out in the corporation "LOS NEVADOS", province of Chimborazo. For the characterization of the raw material, hydrated lime and sand, the laboratory services of "CEMENTO CHIMBORAZO S.A." were used for chemical and physical analysis with volumetric, complexometric and crystallographic methods by means of an X-ray spectrophotometer. For the proposed product, tests, weighing tests, dosing, milling and mass balance calculations were carried out. The composition data of hydrated lime were: Calcium and magnesium oxide 59.41; silicon oxide 6.45%; iron and aluminum oxides 1.71%; and carbon dioxide 34.51%; and the proposal for the final product was: exterior filling developed or proposed with the following composition: hydrated lime 67%, cement 18%, sand 15% and interior filling developed or proposed with the following composition: hydrated lime 67%, cement 13%, sand 20%. It was concluded that the raw material analyzed is of regular quality by means of the comparison with the Ecuadorian quality standard INEN 246: Chemical Composition of Hydrated Lime for construction, however, it was possible to obtain a product that resembles the characteristics of the commercial one. The necessary recommendations to be taken into account to improve the quality of the productive process to obtain hydrated lime, such as the size of the limestone, weighing systems, temperature control of the kiln during the calcination period, residence time of the lime inside the kiln, and lime slaking equipment.
