Resumen
"The resin plant Condor needs to treat its wastewater. . Condor manufactures paints
and resins from urea formaldehyde, in Quito. Therefore it was important to design a
treatment for disposal of wastewater from manufacturers.
This research used characterization and the determination of the amount of
wastewater to establish a diagnosis of conditions of organic matter, pH,%
formaldehyde, and chemical oxygen .It also used the experimental method. with
ozonation, aeration, — bacterial treatment, distillation, which involves air
Compressor, ozonizer, reactor, colorimeter, personal protective equipment, vials of
chemical oxygen demand, bacteria, glassware, etc.
The results showed: - ozonation 33% to 63%
- aeration 14% to 46%
- bacterial treatment 11% to 32% .
- distillation was reduced to 50% of chemical oxygen.
Conclusions show that there is reduction of chemical oxygen with a change from
clear to pale yellow colors, pH increased from 0.35 to 0.75.
Recommendations include to take into account those different factories to apply this
design to treat wastewater."
