Resumen
A Wetland Management Plan for the Pichan Central-San Isidro - Guano-Chimborazo Community was carried out. Investigative and analytical methods were applied, to survey the baseline, bibliographic information, testimonial of the personnel, in the field phase, the area was visually recognized where a photographic record of the conditions of the wetlands was generated and the required monitoring, performing physical chemical and microbiological analyses. The wetlands are located at an altitude of 4120 meters above sea level, longitude 9834276 UTM and latitude 0762837 UTM, in geographical zone 17; it constitutes an area of 19,073 hectares and that of the wetland of 1820 m2; The weather characteristics are: average speed 1.8 m/s, ambient temperature 6.8°C, humidity 95.8%, rainfall 2748.16 mm; hydrological characteristics: flow rate 1.08 L/s, wetland pH of 9.26, conductivity 96.01 µS/cm, temperature 7.37° C, which determines a WQI of 78.76%, the analyzes of the water distributed in the community show that it is suitable for domestic and human consumption; soil characteristics: infiltration is decreasing in relation to time, organic matter 6.1%, pH 5.7 slightly acidic, sandy loam texture, loose structure, plants such as valerian (Valeriana microphylla) and several cushion formers and aquatic plants from the riverbank were identified. wetland, species of birds, mammals, microfauna and endemics; the community is made up of 139 families, the predominant language is Spanish and the Catholic religion, the occupations are: work at home, agriculture and livestock, 50% of the population is of medium possibility, 48% has migrated, agricultural work they are precarious, it has a school, the impacts caused are positive, the wetland is not directly affected. The wetland is of a permanent type, of good quality and water retention, the climatic, hydrological and geological conditions allow the conservation of existing ecosystems.
