The present production deals with the investigation with the students who participated in the student occupation movement of the Federal University of São Carlos - Campus Sorocaba in the year 2018. The focus of the investigation focuses on the analysis of the production of the cultural agenda created by the occupation movement, investigating about the meaning attributed to art by students in the context of occupation. Through the elaboration of the form with open and closed questions, the students who participated in the movement provided valuable contributions to the understanding of the meaning of art and its attribution. It was important, therefore, to determine whether the choice was based on simple entertainment, in the sense of occupying useful time on campus, or whether there was a more specific concept. Therefore, we sought to answer what is the importance attributed to art in the context of student occupation at UFSCar-So in 2018? The answers were categorized and analyzed, using qualitative and quantitative approaches, also observing their connections and crossings. For a better understanding that would lead to a more detailed analysis, it was necessary to elaborate some deepening of questions brought by the students, being this the base of the development of the conjectures in this production. Through the appropriation of the analyzes of the presented answers, it was reached the perception that, in a little conscious way, the students of the occupation movement gave a cathartic sense to the art, that is, the art fulfilled its primordial sense. The cultural agenda was a collective, dynamic and articulated construction, contributing to the adhesion, cohesion and visibility of the movement, with the use of social networks as a supporting element.

<title>Investigação dos mecanismos de remoção de material de insertos de metal duro de diferentes classes durante a retificação</title>

<description>Investigação dos mecanismos de remoção de material de insertos de metal duro de diferentes classes durante a retificação
After pressing and sintering processes, cutting inserts must be ground in order to obtain the necessary surface finish and tolerances for their application in machining operations. An appropriate process design requires a detailed investigation of the material removal mechanisms, in order not only to obtain a good surface finish, but also an efficient process. Within this context, an investigation of the material removal mechanisms associated with the analysis of process forces and specific energy during plunge-face grinding of cemented tungsten carbide cutting inserts of different grades (K10, P10, M10, and NbC-Ni) was carried out. All the studied materials showed, in general and with similar trends, increased values of the grinding force components and a reduction of specific energy with higher values of average single grain chip thickness. In addition, a very similar critical single grain chip thickness of 0.25 μm was obtained and changes in the material removal mechanism from ductile to brittle mode could be observed close to this value. The cemented carbide ISO grade K10 presented better results than those obtained for the other materials with regard to specific energy, surface and edge quality. No relationships were found between the results obtained in the performed scratching tests and those generated through grinding.

The present work has, as its objective, the development of an application of the game “The Secret Number”, available on the OBMEP´s website, and its proposed use in the classroom. Currently, Math teachers face enormous difficulties in teaching various contents, especially topics that require great mental effort from students, since the modern student is a differentiated one who requires new and innovative practices for effective learning. So, the use of games in the classroom is an interesting pedagogical option. The game “The Secret Number” was chosen as it contributes to the development of mathematical logic, the fundamental theorem of counting, and basic notions of probability. The application was developed on the SCRATCH platform and the activity sheets were created using the CANVAS application. Through the application of the game in the classroom, a gradual improvement was observed in the students' strategies to win the game, as well as an increase in their interest in the contents being taught.

<title>A alfabetização científica na educação brasileira: desafios e perspectivas</title>

<description>A alfabetização científica na educação brasileira: desafios e perspectivas
The Science, Technology and Innovation are recognized as key factors in the economic and social development of nations and are part of the economic agenda of many countries. Deepening knowledge about Science, Technology and Society is an interdisciplinary objective shared by different areas of knowledge. Training for the practice of science and for technological innovation is complex, insofar as it cannot be considered independently of the situation of basic education in Brazil, that is, of primary and secondary education. Linked to the school space, science and technology have provided numerous transformations in society. Scientific Initiation is the space where a young person's first contacts with research take place. In this sense, the research proposed here intends to identify the advantages and challenges of scientific literacy in basic education. Through five articles, it was possible to describe the types of research, funding, grants and the importance of scientific education for the training of future researchers.
