| dc.description | Nesta pesquisa são analisados os movimentos que desencadearam as transformações expansivas em um curso de Educação Matemática a Distância Online. Nele, professores de várias regiões do país e do exterior se encontravam para estudar cônicas com o software de Matemática dinâmica GeoGebra e discutir algumas Tendências em Educação Matemática. Esses encontros se deram no ambiente virtual de aprendizagem Tidia-Ae, que possui ferramentas de comunicação síncronas e assíncronas. Os dados foram produzidos em chats, fóruns, e-mails e entrevistas. A análise desses dados segue uma orientação qualitativa e está alicerçada nos princípios da teoria da atividade e do construto seres-humanos-com-mídias. A noção de transformação expansiva é um dos princípios que explicam a teoria da atividade em seu formato atual, em conjunto com a unidade de análise, a multivocalidade, a historicidade e as contradições internas. Esses princípios que se entrelaçam nas ideias dessa teoria permitem um olhar amplo sobre a produção e as transformações do conhecimento reveladas em transformações qualitativas que podem ocorrer em sistemas de atividade. O construto sereshumanos- com-mídias trouxe para a pesquisa um foco voltado às transformações que ocorreram devido à influência das tecnologias presentes ou até mesmo ausentes no processo de produção Matemática. Os resultados indicam que as transformações expansivas emergentes tiveram na mídia um agente mobilizador e podem ser assim resumidas: a expansão do objeto e do motivo da atividade; a expansão da produção Matemática sobre cônicas; e a expansão dos artefatos, ou seja, dos duplos papéis que as mídias podem desempenhar em um sistema de atividade. | dc.description | The objective of this study was to analyze the actions (physical and mental “movements”) that triggered expansive transformations in an online distance mathematics education course. During the course, teachers from different regions of Brazil and abroad met to study conic sections using the dynamic mathematics software GeoGebra, as well as discuss some trends in Mathematics Education. These meetings occurred in the virtual learning environment Tidia-Ae, which offers tools for synchronous and asynchronous communication. Data gathered from chats, forums, e-mails, and interviews provided the basis for analysis of the actions of participants in the online distance course. Data analysis followed a qualitative paradigm and was guided by the principles of activity theory and the construct humans-with-media. Expansive transformations is one of the principles explained by activity theory in its current form, together with multivocality, historicity, internal contradictions, and unit of analysis. The theory proposes the activity system as the unit of analysis. The resulting broad view of the production and transformation of knowledge made it possible to identify qualitative changes that occurred in the activity system. The construct humans-with-media was used to understand the influence of digital technology in the expansive transformations. The results indicate that the emerging expansive transformations were mobilized by the media used and can be summarized as follows: the expansion of the activity’s object and subject; the expansion of Mathematical production about conic sections; and the expansion of artifacts, in other words, the dual role that media can play in an activity system.
