Abstract
The Community Forest Enterprise (CFE) has become an example that an enterprise can achieve the economic, social and environmental imperatives that emerge from rural reality. The research of these kind of enterprises establish those elements that cannot compared to any other kind of enterprise, due to is an option of development of productive activities with a communitarian focus that includes traditional issues. The Community Forest Enterprise of San Pedro el Alto Zimatlán is an example a enterprise that have achieved those imperatives. This research has three objectives: to describe the operative-functional structure of the CFE of San Pedro el Alto; to define the elements of social capital related to the dimension of trust, reciprocity, cooperation and communication and define the relations between the variables associated to social capital and communitarian traditional organizations and institutions. The research methodology consist in a case study methods with a mix of qualitative and quantitative study. In the qualitative phase, by bibliographical research it was establish the framework and the information of the CFE in order to associate this information. En the qualitative phase also, the data were gathered from non structured and semistructured interviews to describe de structural social capital. In the quantitative phase, the data were gathered from structured interviews directed to the employees that identify element of social capital. In the statistic analysis, it was probed that the mean variables dare associated with the social capital as a resource of collective benefits with the communitarian traditional organizations and institutions
