Following with the studies of some of the more outstanding aminoacids of wool’s protein, either constitutional or resulting from further treatments we refer in this paper to Lanthyonine. Reference is made to its importance, the treatments during which it is formad, normal percentual contents in wool, significance of high percentages, relationship between the solubility in urea-disulphyte and % of lanthyonine, determinaron, practical experiences which have been performed, etc. The control of wool-washing with its possible anomalies that may be present by the determination of the percentages of lanthyonine has been found very interesting. Also the influenee of an irregular vaporisation on this contení and the failures it may produce.
