Resumen
This work presents a study of the energy efficiency of the Regional’s Caeté Museum, a public museum of colonial architectural typology, evaluated based on the Technical Regulation of the Quality of Energy Efficiency of Commercial Buildings, Services and Public Buildings or RTQ-C. To develop this work, a literature review of the topic energy efficiency and description of the labeling process was carried out, according to the Brazilian Regulation, enabling the choice for computational evaluation by simulation. In addition, in order to contextualize the area of knowledge of the case study in architecture, themes and historical heritage museum architecture were referenced. Subsequently, the characterization of the city of Caeté, regarding the climate and geography was carried out, and the characterization of the Regional’s Caeté Museum was held according to its formal technology and constructive techniques. For the evaluation of the energy efficiency through the simulation, the parameters for the configuration of the real model and reference model were analyzed, according to the envelopment, air conditioning, lighting and percentage of hours occupied in comfort. With these parameters the computer modeling was made and the simulations carried out, allowing the classification of the energy efficiency of the Museum in level B, but with high energy consumption. After applying corrective measures to meet the criteria of the RTQ-C, the performance of the envelopment was optimized, with no loss in heritage preservation. It was proven the relevance of the application of the methodology, which should have included the special features of the historic building materials and systems, so that the usefulness and importance of rules as the RTQ-C is beneficial in the preservation of the architectural cultural heritage.
