Ensino médio politécnico: um novo olhar à formação do educando

The present study aimed to analyze the limits and the possibilities that the State School of Basic Education José Gomes PortinhoCoqueiros do Sul presented for deployment polytechnic school. For both developed a qualitative research, in which two managers and eight high school teachers polytechnic school. As methodological procedure was applied a questionnaire with open questions, and an interview with the managers. It presents also a documentary research, based on pedagogical proposal for secondary education polytechnic, suggested by the state board of education of Rio Grande do Sul as well as establishing public policies in relation to this stage of education. The reflections analyzed point to the importance of changes in high school who applied to the implementation of the polytechnic context, which according to SEDUC, aims to decrease evasion, professional preparation and defragmentation of the curriculum, making the student an active subject in the process teaching and learning of transforming your reality. But according to research carried out, it was not the best way to make these changes because the proposal lacks clarity and does not fit the realities of most state schools. These inadequacies that include lack of infrastructure (classrooms and labs complete), preparation of professional interest of students and the school community resistance. It is also believed that not only restructure the school, for the students enrolled in this phase lag with lots of learning, which in previous steps assume that there was important knowledge has not been assimilated.
