Environmental Education (EE) has long been crafted disconnected from human reality how the man was not part of nature and was not responsible for the various transformations in space. The issue of sustainability and EA are faced with the paradigm of "risk society". This implies the need to multiply the social practices based on strengthening the right of access to information and education in an integrative perspective. Therefore, this study aims to develop an analysis of environmental education and the perception of it by young people and adults, high school, the State Basic School Pedro Nunes de Oliveira, Pantano Grande. Participatory research seeks to promote environmental education through the implementation of recycled paper workshop, homemade soap, agroecological vegetable garden, composting and recycling. Qualitative analysis is the environmental perception of the group studied via data collected by environmental diagnosis. At the end of this work it is concluded that the individual independent of their social class , age or culture needs to be informed about what is environmental education, as well is inserted in the subject, being an agent capable of multiplying teachings, transforming their reality and the community where it operates. The individual expressions of the search demarcate a process of awareness and caring for the environment issue.
