The article presents the research developed about the educators perception
regarding to high abilities and the possibility of the attendance to gifted students,
indicating for the implantation of enrichment program to every school. Besides
investigating the educators' perception, relating it to the specialized educational
attendance, the study aims to expand and to generalize, analytically, the educators'
perception about the high abilities. Through the knowledge of the school phenomena,
associated to the desire to understand its, saving the significant characteristics of the
school reality events, the used research strategy is the case study. The instruments
used to collect data were a questionnaire, a semi-structured interview and the
registrations of observations in pedagogic meetings and class advices. Initially, the
text relates the formation longed for with the author's professional exercise,
presenting some pedagogic practices and systematizing essential concepts to the
study, starting from the theoretical referential studied along the specialization course.
The results described in the investigation indicate that the professors ignore or they
know a little concerning the theme of the high abilities, because they don't centralize
the depositions in the student and your potential. The study also revealed that, when
noticing the existence of the indicators of high abilities in the students, the educators
conceive the giftedness with ideas permeated by the myths that round the theme.
The possibility of an enrichment program to the whole school is projected and
described as conclusion of the work, taking into account the professors' placements
that is necessary to know the subject to identify and to assist, appropriately, the
students that present indicators of high abilities.
