dc.description.abstractThe Programa de Prevenção de Riscos Ambientais (PPRA), established by the Ministério do Trabalho e Emprego (MTE) by NR 09 in 1978, aims to preserve the health of workers through the recognition, prevention and elimination of the risks in the workplace . Among the actions included in the implementation of this program at work are awareness about environmental hazards, training on rules and safety procedures and preparation of risk maps. All these steps must have the active participation of workers. This study reports the experience of the implementation of PPRA in the Laboratório de Análises Micotoxicológicas (LAMIC) of the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, conducted from November 2012 to September 2013, through training and collective construction of risk map.
