The purpose of this study is to discuss the relationship of the school with the school community under the backdrop of the school board perspective of democratic management. The study aimed to analyze the autonomy of school before the legislation provides that when dealing with the democratic management of the school board, involving a qualitative research through literature research and participant observation in order to recognize the shape of existing management within research, and promote actions that include management via an autonomous school board. Having such research problem: how school mobilizes the school board to participate in decision making that deliberative body? This is a qualitative study, which had as an instrument to collect data to literature, with participatory observation guided the school board and the configuration of the same within a school of early childhood education, seeking to diagnose whether management is democratic effective in this area of knowledge. In the midst of these demands was possible to realize that school is a place of legitimate interactions and an environment that is constantly evolving, so that democratic school management is present in an increasing manner in which daily has new achievements and demands.
