Abstract

Today the northeast region of Brazil does not show large and attractive numbers in their trading accounts to total in the country, the states of the region in general have the highest social and economic problems of the country, poverty, inequality, access to health and education are elements with which the present government should strive to encourage the development and exploit the potential of the region naturally possesses. The current government of President Dilma Rousseff is the emergence of the Northeast project as a focus of development for poverty alleviation and social problems that live there, among the projects are infrastructure development, construction of modern ports, incentives foreign investment among others. In this way the region will have a major role in the coming years. For Colombian companies to compete with their products to market Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo is complicated because Brazil has lots of barriers to trade, on the other hand the companies in these cities are centers of industry are highly competitive which the Colombian companies can hardly compete, because of this the Colombian market to dump the view on the issue Brazil to areas where competition is more even for the Colombian industry, this is where the idea of studying the region that has great potential for development and a market of 53 million people.
