There have always been urban settlements, suburban and rural areas in which evidence of a flaw in the satisfaction of the individual and collective needs; inadequate housing, medical and educational centers, free public recreational spaces, routes and commercial spaces; and high risk factors generated by natural agents; show the lack of planning and visualization that occurs in many occasions. This case happens in the Colombian city of Pasto; in the communities Mapachino and Genoy, which are in a situation of extreme vulnerability to the volcanic activity of the Galeras. Therefore there is the need for a resettlement of the same, in order to avoid a major disaster with the seismic activity of the volcano or even an eruption of it. Situations like this will become one of the main reasons for being in the professional performance of the architects and the architecture students, which are required to generate solutions for sustainable development architectural through which consolidated the bases and the mechanisms for the development of a worthy Social Housing, that meets the needs of a community determined by their own culture. It is then necessary to apply the concepts generated from contextual analysis, techniques and study of materials and technologies, to design viable proposals, that their implementation will generate a whole the greatest satisfaction of what is necessary to meet the individual and the community. So an architect should always be able to analyze a problem situation as experienced by the target communities, the importance of their collective identity, and make the architecture a facilitating aspect for the community not to lose this definition, know that in the approach to projects such as this, must be recognized that the community has a social origin and individual which should be reflected in the proposed public facilities, especially in households that wish to establish there.
