Resumen
Off-label drug use is a common and insufficiently regulated clinical practice, which frequency, effects and outcomes in adult population have not been analyzed enough.
By above mentioned, the current research developed a systematic review of the literature of observational studies, that estimated the frequency and/or established associated factors to off-label use of drugs in adult population. PubMed, Embase, LILACS, Science Direct, CINAHL, ProQuest and Cochrane databases were accessed in order to reach for articles related to this topic. Articles that met inclusion criteria were assessed for methodological quality.
