The interest of this investigation is to explain the roll of the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank in the conditional cash transfers program “Familias en Acción” of Colombia among 2001-2013. It will identify how, through this program the IDB and the WB have contributed to the program to reduce poverty, income inequality and accumulation of human capital of vulnerable families in order to avoid inter-generational poverty. The importance and growth of the international cooperation to improve the social and economic aspects of developing countries is essential to generate progress between the notions in order to make a more equitable and inclusive international system.
