Resumen
Introduction: IVU is very patronizing in the (FCI - IC), about 60% of patients diagnosed with nosocomial UTI correspond to resistant germs, Since 2010 the CLSI decreased cutoffs Sensitivity in Enterobacteriaceae and removed the need for screening and confirmation (ESBL) in the present study is to determine the epidemiological profile of antibiotic formulation in patients with nosocomial UTI. Design: an analytical observational cross-sectional study was conducted. Methods: We performed a univariate analysis, bivariate and multivariate analyzes. We bivariate and multivariate analysis was performed to determine the extent of association considering the formulation of carbapenem the dependent variable, evaluated by chi square. Results: 131 urine cultures were reviewed, 116 were included microbiological isolates were most frequently found E. coli and K. pneumoniae, 43. 4% of isolates presented ESBL expression, 90% of the isolates were sensitive to Cefepime. Most models obtained showed a strong association between ESBL report in antibiograma with the formulation of carbapenems as the final therapy OR 33. 12; 95% CI (2. 90 to 337. 4). Conclusion: The epidemiology of nosocomial UTIs in the FCI-IC does not differ from international benchmarks, no adherence to guidelines for hospital management and reporting of the word ESBL in susceptibility testing predicts the formulation of carbapenem antibiotic by the doctor reading urine culture.
