Resumen
Assuming arguendo that must be considered morally animals the text asks for the reasons that validate this thesis and also the mechanisms through which such consideration would be effective.Faced with these questions will be reviewed three theoretical approaches that offer different answers to the questions raised: the approach of Peter Singer's interests, the rights perspective Salt and Regan, and the theory of Martha Nussbaum's capabilities. However, in the course of rebuilding the text above disclose some problems of these approaches and outreach in driving the transformation of the everyday practices of humans with animals because they lack political clout to validate and extend new forms of relating to animals. The paper suggests that an alliance of the best elements of these three theories can form a solid foundation for the creation and foundation of social and political movements that encourage the renewal of the relationship of men to animals.
