Grid connected sma!/ wind turbines are
relalively new and unproven, and most of (he inverters
developedfor Grid conneclion are designedfor PVpanels.
Sorne of these inverfers have been usedfor Grid connected
Wind turbines, but they do fol normal/y have adequale
settings for wind generation, which is rnuch more variable
over shorr periods of time (han solar power. Additiona/lv,
Ihere is no suitable single Pi' inverterfor applications over
3.0kW.
The purposes of this projeci are: (1) Design and insta!í a
suitable data col!ection svstem for a 6.0 kW Grid
('onnected Wind Turbine, interconnected to two Sunnybov
inverters of 2.5 kW in para//el: (2) Ana/yse the data and
especia//y the performance of the inverrers, and '3,)

The dala co/lection svstem will be explained, and a/so the
dfferenf mechanisrns used (o manipulate ¡he data in order
to show the average resu/ts. The development of (he
M4 TL4B model used fo predict the turbine performance
has a/so been discussed. Special care was taken in the study
of (he inverters performance - minal/y designed for PV
app/ications - in wind generation and how thev interact in
parallel.
