El presente estudio fue desarrollado con el fin de identificar y analizar las amenazas y la vulnerabilidad para fortalecer la componente del riesgo en EOT en convenio con la Alcaldía del municipio de Iza, analizando el estado de cada uno de sus aspectos frente a los diferentes eventos potencialmente catastróficos en el área de estudio. Se realizó por medio de visitas de reconocimiento, aplicación de encuestas, recopilación de información cartográfica, poblacional e hidro-meteorológica, estudios e investigaciones realizados previamente sobre el tema y bibliografía necesaria. Luego se hizo un análisis situacional del área de estudio por aspectos: físico-estructural, social, político-institucional, económico y ambiental. Con esta información se realizó la identificación y análisis de las amenazas, (sismo, inundación, remoción en masa, incendio forestal y helada) y la identificación y análisis de la vulnerabilidad por aspectos con el fin de determinar el riesgo del municipio. Se comparó el contenido temático del Esquema de Ordenamiento Territorial con la realidad encontrada en el municipio. Se obtuvo una serie de alternativas las cuales se entregaran en la administración municipal con el fin de que sean incorporadas en el componente de riesgo del esquema de ordenamiento territorial, y así aumentar el nivel de resiliencia en el municipio. Toda esa información se organizó en cuadros, gráficos, matrices y mapas de amenaza. Esto dio como resultado la determinación de un nivel de riesgo ―medio‖ para el municipio.The present study was developed in partnership with the Mayor of the municipality of Iza, in order to identify and analyze threats and vulnerability and thus strengthen the risk component in EOT, including the state of each of its aspects against different potentially catastrophic events in the study area. It was conducted through visits of recognition, implementation of surveys, collection of cartographic, population and hydro-meteorological information, studies and research conducted previously on the matter and literature necessary. Then there was a situational analysis of the study area by aspects: physical-structural, social, political and institutional, economic and environmental. With this information, the identification and analysis of threats (earthquake, flood, landslide, forest fire and ice) and the identification and analysis of vulnerability aspects in order to determine the risk of the municipality was performed. The thematic content of the Outline Zoning with the reality found in the town, where a series of alternatives was obtained, which will be delivered in the municipal administration in order to be incorporated into the land use was compared and thus increase level of resilience in the municipality.
